I can't remember how I came up with my mantra, but it seemed to help push the bad thoughts away and help me relax. When things got tough I would close my eyes, think of something that made me happy and repeat the mantra 'good dreams, good thoughts' over and over again until all traces of bad thoughts were gone.
In 2015, I thought that I would take this mantra to a new level. I've decided to write down all of the positive things that happen to me this year and put them in a jar. At the end of the year, I can then look back and have a positive way of reflecting on my year. New Years tends to get me down as I can only ever seem to remember the tough parts of the year and never the small moments of happiness from things like compliments or good news. For New Years 2015, I want to be able to remember everything good about the year and start 2016 with more positivity then the year before.
Across the year, I'm going to be sharing snippets from what's made it into my jar on Twitter using the hashtag #GoodDreamsGoodThoughts - social media can be lonely so feel free to join in yourself and use the hashtag to share things that are making you happy this year.
