My tour left from down town Inverness at 8:30am with our charismatic tour leader Gordon and our driver Neil. Our path took us along the same direction as the train to the Kyle of Lochalsh (often called one of the most picturesque train journeys in Scotland). From there we headed over the bridge to Skye.
I've wanted to see Skye since I moved to Scotland 6 years ago. If you don't have a car then getting there and getting around can be a bit of a nightmare. The second we crossed the bridge my nose was glued to the window to take in the scenery- and it was everything I dreamed it would be. Our first stop was Sligachan near the Cuillin Mountains which was absolutely stunning. We stopped there for half an hour to take in the fresh air and visited a really cool pub that looked like a ski hut.

Isle of Skye tour costs £69
Lunch spots are limited on Skye so I would recommend bringing plenty of snack and drinks. WOW Scotland takes lunch and dinner orders and picks them up from Portree on the way through. Lunches are sandwiches or wraps and dinner is salad options.
