We both decided on the same thing to eat- sourdough bread topped with avocado and a poached egg, with a chorizo jam. I'm not even kidding you when I say it was the most amazing lunch I have had in ages. The chorizo jam is touted as 'homemade' on the menu. I'd never heard of a chorizo jam before but it was delightful. I'd love to be able to get a bottle of it and have it at home to put on toast. I'm sure its a Hamiltons secret recipe, but if anyone else has a chorizo jam recipe, I'd be up for hearing about that.
Hamiltons is now firmly a favourite of mine in the city. I will be back to taste the other items on their menu, and will definitely be recommending them to others.
