Sitting a hair-raising 270 metres above ground, SkyPoint is at the top of Q1, which is an iconic residential tower at Surfer's Paradise. The SkyPoint Climb is Australia's highest external building climb (gulp!), and offers some spectacular views of the Gold Coast from the top. My climb started on the ground with a safety briefing and mandatory breath test (no shots for courage allowed!), before I was dressed in a rather fetching jumpsuit in prison grey and strapped into a safety harness that looked more like I was going skydiving rather then for a rooftop walk.
An adult pass for the SkyPoint Climb is $69 and includes the climb, a free cap, a souvenir group photo, climb certificate and all day access to the Observation Deck. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Here's some more information about SkyPoint.
