If you follow me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, you would know that over the weekend I was off exploring the Faroe Islands. I have to admit that not that long ago I had no idea the Faroe Islands even existed, let along thought of them as a holiday destination. Atlantic Airways now offers direct Edinburgh to Vagar flights, with the average flight time being a comfortable one hour and ten minutes. When my plane broke through the clouds on its decent into Vagar Airport, I experienced some of the most wild, untamed and stunning scenery I have ever seen. The islands looked like something from the set of a blockbuster film and I thought that there was no way in the world that somewhere this achingly beautiful could be so undiscovered. In the next week or so I will be sharing an insight into what I got up to while in the Faroe Islands, but to wet your appetite, here's some holiday snaps to make you seriously plan your next holiday in the Faroe Islands.
