You should be forewarned that the Lobster Shack is expensive.....although anyone who hasn't ordered lobster before would know it is a weeny bit of a pricey seafood. The famous lobster and chips that I've wanted to try for 2 years was an eye-watering £17.
The set up of the 'shack' is very seaside chippy with plastic table cloths and nearly naff anchors and life rings for decoration. Our food came out pretty quickly and it smelt amazing. The lobster, chips and salad were served in a brown cardboard box... upmarket chippy vibes again. My lobster was nice, although somewhat lacking in meat (not the lobster shack's fault.... they just aren't a big fleshy animal), and my chips were nice and crispy even though they had a lot of juice from the lobster on them. My dining buddies and I devoured our lunches, only stopping between finger licking to ask if we can eat certain parts of the lobster (we all don't eat lobster very often).
All in all it was a nice lunch and I'm glad I've experienced The Lobster Shack, however due to the price I'm not sure it's something I would do again. Well worth it for a treat though!
If you want to try it for yourself you had better hurry! The Lobster Shack's pop up shack is only at The Dome for a limited time. After that you'll have to catch them at North Berwick!
